1 John 4: 13-14

13 This is how we know that we live in Him and He in us: He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.

Living in such a corrupt world, I sometimes wonder, or question, am I saved? Is there any hope for me? Especially after all that I have done. The very simple answer is, YES. When you know Jesus and you’ve accepted Him as your Savior, there is always hope. Now, there’s one huge roadblock and you can call him what you want; prince of darkness, the enemy, the adversary, etc. His one job is to make sure that you don’t get to where Jesus wants you, which is eternal life with Him in Heaven.

When Jesus makes you a promise and when He has a plan for your life, nothing can stop it. Numbers 23:19 says “God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?”

The living Word of God is telling us that He’s not going to go back on His word. Which in turn tells us that the enemy cannot stop the promises of God once spoken. Now what he can do and what he will try to do is steal your hope and disrupt your faith in those promises. The prince of lies will whisper to you that God has forgotten you, that there’s no point in waiting, that He’s abandoned you. But just as 1 John 4:13-14 says the spirit of the Lord lives in you. He has connected us with Him. From eternity to eternity, He is God. No one can snatch you out of His hand and no one can undo what He’s done (Isaiah 43:13).

All our hope in life and in our salvation is placed in Jesus Christ and nothing the enemy can say will stop that.

Prayer: Jesus, I thank you. For your constant reminder that whatever happens around us, whatever lies the enemy is trying to spew at us that you are the King of kings where the hope of our salvation and refuge is placed. I ask that you take any stronghold that may be holding my mind captive and make them bow in obedience to your authority and that you fill me with your Holy Spirit and that it is the only guiding light in my life. Thank you for your love and your protection. In Jesus’s mighty and matchless name, I pray. Amen.
