Day 21 | Invite

Matthew 22:8-10 NIV

8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. 9 So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ 10 So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

INVITE: The invitation to God’s kingdom is for everyone. Jesus encourages us to go out and invite all we encounter to join the celebration. Think about the people you interact with daily – coworkers, neighbors, friends. Extend an invitation to them to join you at church, where they can be part of the joyous community and discover God’s love.

Look for opportunities to invite those who may feel far from God. Your invitation could be the first step in their journey to finding a home in the church and a relationship with Christ.

INVITE: Life can be overwhelming and burdensome, but Jesus offers us a place of rest and peace. When we invite others to church, we are extending an invitation to find solace and comfort in Christ. Reflect on those in your life who may be struggling and need this message of hope. Invite them to church, where they can lay down their burdens and find rest for their souls.

Colossians 4:5-6 NIV

5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

INVITE: These verses emphasize the importance of how believers interact with non-believers, urging them to act wisely and seize every opportunity to share their faith. By ensuring their conversations are gracious and engaging, believers can effectively communicate the message of Christ. This approach helps create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere for non-believers to explore the church and its teachings.

Day 14 | Invest

John 15:16 NIV

16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

INVEST: Jesus reminds us that we are chosen and appointed to bear lasting fruit. This means living a life that reflects His love and leads others to Him. Our influence can make an eternal difference. As we invest in relationships and share our faith, we bear fruit that remains. Seek God’s guidance in your efforts and trust that He will use you to impact others for His kingdom.

Day 13 | Invest

Mark 2:1-5 NIV

1 A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. 2 They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. 3 Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. 4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

INVEST: Talk about going above and beyond for a friend! These four men literally carried their paralyzed friend Jesus. Determined to see their friend healed, they invested their time, resources, and physical exertion to lay him at the feet of Jesus.

What did Jesus do with their investments? Spiritual and physical miracles! They came to receive a physical miracle, but Jesus gave them even more— forgiveness. Jesus can do more than we ask or think when we are willing to invest of our time, energy, and resources to bring others to come to know Him.

Day 12 | Invest

John 1:40-42 NIV

40 Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus.

INVEST: Andrew’s excitement about finding Jesus led him to bring his brother Peter to meet the Messiah. This simple act of sharing his discovery had a profound impact. Similarly, our enthusiasm for Christ can inspire those close to us. Don’t underestimate the power of a personal invitation. Who in your life needs to hear about Jesus? Share your story and invite them to church or a Bible study.
