Day 11 | IN: Radical Community

READ

Proverbs 27:17 ESV

17 Iron sharpens iron,

    and one man sharpens another.

This verse points to the value found in being in community with each other. We are here to sharpen one another, to build each other up, and strengthen the Godly characteristics we see in our friends and loved ones.

REFLECT

Questions to help you reflect on how to be in community and love others as Christ commanded:

1. How do you and your friends help each other grow close to God?

2. Which mature Christian knows you and your faith journey the best?

Review the IN statements below. Discern how true or untrue these statements are in your life. What would you do next to strengthen this aspect of your walk with Jesus?

• I am living in community with other Christians who help me grow in Christ.

• My devotional and prayer life with my family is consistent.

• I enjoy encouraging and building up others.

• I am praying for and with others.

• I look for opportunities to invest in the lives of others for their good.

• I seek advice from other Christians on important decisions.

• I have no problem reconciling broken relationships.

• My forgiveness is quick and my judgement slow.
