Day 14 | IN: Radical Community

READ

Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV

24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

These verses demonstrate the importance of meeting together at church. During that time, we are called to encourage each other, to love others, and to do good works.

REFLECT

Questions to help you reflect on how to be in community and love others as Christ commanded:

1. What is a favorite memory from church that you had with friends and family?

2. How does your involvement in a community group encourage you to live a balanced spiritual life?

Review the IN statements below. Discern how true or untrue these statements are in your life. What would you do next to strengthen this aspect of your walk with Jesus?

• I am living in community with other Christians who help me grow in Christ.

• My devotional and prayer life with my family is consistent.

• I enjoy encouraging and building up others.

• I am praying for and with others.

• I look for opportunities to invest in the lives of others for their good.

• I seek advice from other Christians on important decisions.

• I have no problem reconciling broken relationships.

• My forgiveness is quick and my judgement slow.
