1 John 5:10-12
Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about His Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son does not have life.
Have you ever heard someone say that there are many paths that lead to God? Or even that if you live a good life filled with good deeds that you will make it into eternal glory?
Every major world religion promises life after death if you believe in a higher power and adhere to its laws and practices. It’s a common belief that if you’re a good person, you help others, and live a peaceful life, then your soul will ascend into paradise when you die. Although it may sound nice to some, it’s far from true.
The truth is that eternal life is found only in God’s son Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the Way the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
My heart aches for those who are deceived and do not believe in salvation through Jesus Christ. They have rejected the truth of God, therefore calling God a liar (1 John 5:10). Religion without a personal relationship with Jesus leaves feelings of lack, emptiness, and dissatisfaction. Life with Jesus is so much sweeter and offers joy and strength for the spirit, soul, and body. Jesus said, “I have come that they might have life, and that they may have it more abundantly”. John 10:10.
Thank God for His gift to us; Salvation through His Son! When you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for your gift to us, Your Son Jesus Christ. I pray for a world that is lost in the false belief that there are other ways that lead to eternal life. I pray that they learn the truth that Jesus is the ONLY way to salvation and eternal life in You, Father.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thanks for the 21 days of prayer. It is great to start the day in the word.
